Italian conductor Carlo Maria Giulini has passed away at the age of 91. I thought I owned a few recordings by him, but a cursory glance through my shelves reveals nothing. It may have been a few recordings on LP or cassette that I never ported over to CD.
One of his musicians says this of him: "The man was made of music." That's a pretty lofty testimonial.
