IMAGE OF THE WEEK

The things you learn on the Interweb -- like the fact that the first feature-length film produced in Italy was based on Dante's Inferno. A Fool in the Forest has the details, complete with a couple of images demonstrating the film's production design and how it draws heavily on the work of illustrator Gustav Dore. I actually have a Dore print that I need to put up on the wall one of these days; it's on Don Quixote tilting at the windmill.
