Americans are drinking less beer.
I don't drink much any more at all, but when I do, beer and wine are my poisons of choice. I've always wanted to try mead, but I've never either found any available for purchase or wanted to go to the trouble of attempting to brew something I've never tasted.
Other than that, I don't have much to say on this topic. (Although I wish the article had mentioned the microbrew craze that roared to life in the 1990s; I wonder how that segment of the beer market is doing. I haven't had a "major brewery" beer in a very long time -- years, in fact.)
