Somewhat weird. It's hard to imagine a culture that is so obsessed with games. By the way, I hear the the Bills might pick up Randy Moss. Speaking of pick ups, it looks like the GOP picked up some seats yesterday. I wonder if the post-game rioting affected turnout in San Fransisco. Allamaraine! Third shap.
I think it's the most WTF? moment on DSN. But it's still one of those episodes I find myself enjoying every time I see it despite all their faults (like Datalore). If you listen closely, you can probably hear the crew giggling in the background.
Wow. I haven't seen any DS9 in a number of years, and my viewership of that one was pretty spotty for the first couple seasons (I didn't get really hooked until the Dominion War plotline), but I have absolutely NO memory of this very weird scene...
DS9 was my least favourite of all the Trek series. I stopped watching it pretty early in the run. I vaguely remember this episode, but it didn't seem any more WTF than any other part of that series.

Oh yeah! I remember that episode. (I actually missed a season or two of DS9) Weird but no weirder than a lot of other ST moments.
Not all that weird. Star Trek folks have embraced other cultures for years; why not hopscotch (or whatever)?
Not as weird as Melvin Belli wearing a mumu and trying to convince a group of little kids to take over the Enterprise.
