Do you like thunderstorms?

I love them as long as there are no tornado warnings going on. In fact, we're having a spring storm at this moment!

No. But also yes. It's hard to explain. They scare me but they're also sort of neat. Right now I'm experiencing the same spring thunderstorm as SK and expecting my satellite internet connection to be interrupted any second now.

Absolutely love them! They used to kind of freak me out but I can't remember why now. I especially like it when they're accompanied by lots of rain. Dry lightning strikes are not good when you live in a heavily forested area like we do.

The more dynamic and dangerous the better. We used to run across the yard with metal curling hangers on our heads. Don't ask. I blame the storm fever.

I do and I don't. I got caught in a couple of bad tornadoes when I was a little kid and we lived in Texas, so there's always part of me expecting them to go bad. We live in a high tornado area right now, too, out in farm country, so the wind gets so bad during storms. It shot me out of bed around 5 this morning because the rumbling wind was just constant. So I do enjoy a thunderstorm, but there's always that bit of me waiting to have to seek shelter.

On certain conditions, yes:

1. Cannot have the possibility of becoming a tornado. I have a longtime fear of tornadoes.

2. Cannot cause hail if I am at work. It feels too wrong to have my car become a dimplemobile while I am at work. (I have a garage at home).

3. Not late at night when I'm trying to sleep, please.

I do rather like a gentle thunderstorm some Saturday afternoon when I'm at home and don't have to go out anywhere, and I can just watch it roll in.

Very much. I grew up in northern Florida where there was little danger from tornados, so I don't have that association even though I now live in a place where that should be a concern. Even so, living on a bluff near the skyscrapers of downtown Saint Paul brings some security, so I'm able to just enjoy the sounds and the electricity in the air.

Is it winter? Yes, love them.

Is it a hot summer day? Yes, love them and stand out in them (even though "You'll get hit by lightening!", yadda yadda yadda.)
