Overheard at home plate of Wrigley Field during a Sammy Sosa at-bat: "Please don't let the bat break....please don't let the bat break...."
Jayson Stark, as usual, has a fine take on Sosa's corking-of-the-bat. I'd just like to know what on Earth he was thinking.
