If there's a stupider person in American public life than Sarah Palin, I don't want to know about it. Of course, I'll bet there is a stupider person out there, because there's always someone stupider. But boy howdy, is that woman just plain stupid. She's a complete, blithering idiot. Yeah, Sarah -- Barack Obama's death panels are going to slate your little baby for an early visit from the Angel of Death.

The government is going to come up with a cheaper and more efficient way to deliver health care while maintaining its current level of high quality.

Well, Earl, what's at question in this post is the mastadonically stupid thing that Sarah Palin said. But yeah, you've got it about right. And since there are many countries with better and cheaper and more universal health care than what we've got (where the Right gets the notion that US healthcare is the best in the world remains a complete mystery to me), it seems a perfectly reasonable thing to believe.
