Here is an article about President Bush and the Democratic prospects for defeating him that I find a bit depressing, even as it argues that Bush isn't as bulletproof as he might seem right now.
Why is the article depressing? Because its basic premise is that the American people are perfectly happy with a President, as long as he appears, well, Presidential, and it reduces the Democratic candidates to basically hoping that things are still pretty crappy a year from now.
Is that what American politics is about? One side actually hoping for failure, because that's apparently the only way to win? Ugh.
