I think the notion that John Williams always sounds the same is about as accurate as JS Bach always sounding the same. Certainly, there are stylistic markers, but hardly Xeroxes of the previous works.
John Williams is 80?!! I guess he'd have to be, given how long he's been active, but man, it just doesn't seem possible. He's such an institution, like he's always been there and always will be... or so we can hope.
