And those are just the books I bought for myself. I also picked up five books each for The Wife and The Daughter. And the grand total spent?
Nine dollars.
Folks, if you like to read and if you like to own books, then you really have no reason to not be frequenting your local library's used book sales. It's just that simple.

Except for:
1)space
and
2)more constant reminders of the things I ought to read.
Many other charitable organizations follow the model and run great book sales, as well. Just as in the library sales, books are donated by the community and the work is done by volunteers; so they can charge very low prices and still bring in funds for their charity. Examples are: university alumnae, church groups, pet rescue orgs., museums, Newspapers in Education, etc. Sales are held across the country every weekend. Some groups run bookstores/ongoing sales daily. http:www.BookSaleFinder.com
