Something for Thursday
Decades before movies like Ben Hur, Spartacus, and Cleopatra, there was the opera Aida by Giuseppe Verdi. Here, in a concert presentation with ballet interlude, is the Triumphal March (it's in two parts owing to length of YouTube video constraints, but the break comes at a decent musical spot, in any case -- hit start on the second video just as the first one ends). Note the herald trumpets during the famous second theme:

I love these classical posts.
Here's an idea, for whatever it is worth. You have an amazing ability to relate classical music (at least to this recovering philistine).
What if you replaced the google earth feature with a weekly lesson for the classical novice?
You could also add a weekly lesson on creative writing. Something like post a piece where people post their writing while you and others critique it.
