I have been on such a slide at West Edmonton Mall's water park. There is a second when you start that you feel like you are free falling but of course the physics is there to protect you. It's a panic but I am not a thrill junkie at all though I have skydived twice.

I dont think it's crazy. I mean not for me, but there it is for others. Different strokes for different folks.
