Despite my reputation as a hard-rocking, goat-throwing, hair-metaling kind of guy, I really love that Dan Fogelberg song. One of my first cassettes was his greatest hits, and one of my early attempts at writing a "grown-up" short story was essentially a pastiche of "Same Auld Lang Syne."
On another note, it always kind of takes me by surprise when someone from outside Utah mentions the MoTab (as we call the Mormon Tabernacle Choir). I know they're internationally known and respected, but somehow they feel like our little small-town church singing group, you know?
