On a scale of 1 to "I'm moving to Barbados and I'm not even packing my stuff, I'll buy new stuff when I get there", how sick are YOU of this deep freeze? (I usually try to not be quite so location - specific with these posts, but I'm too cold to think of anything else right now.)

About a 6, I guess. I would have said 9 if it weren't for that Barbados stuff. I wouldn't even consider moving anywhere and, honestly, it was almost 70 degrees here Sunday and it's very dry so no snow, but it hasn't been above freezing for the past two days and this morning it was only 6 degrees and there's something about cold that makes you feel like it's always been cold and always will be even though it wasn't at all three days ago.
I'd be less sick of it if I didn't know that in 4-5 months we'll be starting our 8 to 10 weeks of temperatures over 100.
It's too damn hot here in the summers for it to be this cold now. It was 12 F (with windchills in the single digits) when I left the house today. Apparently the campus heating system can't keep up and it's about 60 degrees F in all the classrooms.
When I'm cold as I'm jumping around at the front of my class (and have a sweater and fingerless mitts on), I KNOW my students are miserable.
I'm sick of extreme temps altogether. Freezing winters and blistering summers, but the worse thing coming to us will be the tornadoes in the spring. Ugh. I want to go back home to California in the worst way.
About a 3. It's winter, it's cold, next week it'll be above average in temp here in upstate NY. I mean, I'm not a fan of the cold, but that's what I expect.
Now I do feel sorry for my poor sister in NC who moved away from this weather!
