A Random Wednesday Conversation Starter
Haven't done one of these in a while, so I'll break my radio silence (almost done with the book! almost done with the book!) to ask this: Assuming you like rice, what's your favorite rice dish?
Lundberg Countrywild rice, half pound chorizo, 1 can Ro-tel, drained, nacho cheese sauce (I usually use Newman's Own brand) about 1/4 to 1/3 cup I guess. I don't really measure. That's it. It's awesome.
Rice and beans. Not the complex thing with meat or other vegetables, just rice with seasoned cooked beans on top.
(I ate a lot of it as a broke college student but I still like it. Black beans are my favorite for this, though I guess in some cultures kidney beans would be more traditional)

2 cups of rice in a glass pan, pork chops on top, covered with 2 cans of consume and water. 350 until done. I could eat the entire pan, I think.
Hmong sticky rice served with grilled chicken and sweet pepper sauce.
Cuban style black beans and rice, preferably with some lime-cilantro shrimp tossed in :)
