A man stands up.

As regards the current "debate" over how aggressively -- or whether at all -- Democrats should pursue the Feingold Censure motion against President Bush (see Drum and Greenwald), I would merely offer these two quotes from two of my favorite TV characters ever:

"It's not the ones we lose that bother me. It's the ones we don't suit up for."

-- Toby Ziegler, The West Wing, "Let Bartlet Be Bartlet"

"If we're going to be damned, let's be damned for what we really are."

-- Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Star Trek: The Next Generation, "Encounter at Farpoint"

Stand up, dammit. The man is mired in the mid-30s for approval rating, and his party is utterly panicked. If not now, when?
