Classical Music in the Digital Music Age

I've been worrying for quite a while about the effect that the "digitalization" of music, from music storage to music distribution, is going to have on classical music -- here's a representative post of mine on that topic from almost a year ago. Now, via Lynn Sislo, I see that my fears were not misplaced.
