three probes headed for Mars.
Given today's political climate, I wonder if the prospect of the French flag fluttering in the Martian breeze wouldn't be just the thing to jump start the American space program. I mean, we
can't let them cheese-eatin' twits beat us to the stars, can we? Nosiree, Bob!!
(EDIT: One of my correspondents points out a slight flaw in my reading comprehension on the article....apparently two of the probes are NASA's, so the idea of a Franco-Martian alliance has been forestalled, thank goodness. "Me, fail English? Unpossible!" -
