The Darwin Martin House, Buffalo, New York.
One of Buffalo's strengths -- which I've noted here a number of times -- is its architectural gems, many dating from the 19th and early 20th centuries. The Darwin Martin House is one of the jewels in Buffalo's architectural crown. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built between 1903 and 1905, this is Wright's finest building in the "prairie house" style. The Darwin Martin House was very nearly demolished, but it was saved from the wrecking ball and is currently being restored.
