Sounds perfectly harmless and reasonable to me, depending of course on the context in which it was said, but this friend denounced it as "slavery." Where the hell does that kind of thinking come from? I have no idea, but I see it constantly from a lot of people... <br /><br />Yes,this country is founded on individual freedom and our national mythologies certainly play that up... but good lord, the extreme people take this to is not merely holding us back as a nation, it's actually going to be our undoing...
