I've been kind of shaking my head at all the hyperventilating that's been going on over this which is kind of unwarranted given the tinkering that Lucas has been doing to his films since almost the very beginning.<br /><br />Lots of other artists do the same. Tolkien revised THE HOBBIT to bring it into line with THE LORD OF THE RINGS. Frank Frazetta was constantly repainting over old canvases, ostensibly changing images that were already published in mass market paperback. No one questions the artist's right to do that.
