And I have the same problem of finding good epic fantasy (I get bored with long book series often).<br />Melville writing about wales really is amazing and like you, I didn't expect Moby Dick to be what it is, but it's a favourite of mine (together with the really creepy Bartleby the Scrivener).<br /><br />Twilight...argh. Enough said.
