We have a finicky washing machine that things it's all that. He wants to be a movie robot and thinks washing clothing is beneath it. Many times I must readjust the load to get the right spin. I hate it.

the dishwasher, specifically the silverware drawer that is impossible to load without removing it. We have to prop it up behind the sink. Then we run the dishwasher and forget to replace the silverware drawer.

It's not a device as such, but our p.i.t.a. is the plumbing. The house is 85 years old and the pipes get blocked by tree roots at least three times a year. We're on a first name basis with the folks at Roto Rooter.

I have to really baby our new high-efficiency washing machine or it unbalances, refuses to spin properly or otherwise goes on the fritz. My old low-efficiency washer never gave me a bit of trouble for fifteen years before the works finally gave out, and now I wish we'd overhauled it instead of buying this monster.
